Sodom and Gomorrah

I've revised this post several times already as I've calmed down throughout the day.  Here is the current version.  It might change.

Genesis 19:4-5
But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house; and they called to Lot, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, so that we may know them.’
The Hebrew word for "know" is yada, or "relations," which appears many times throughout the Hebrew Bible.  Yada means "relations" in a non-sexual way.

Does this say anything about sexuality? I don't think so.  I don't see the word homosexual, let alone the word sex at all, in here at all.  In fact, the whole chapter does not mention the word sex. In the picture below, I searched the entire 19th chapter of Genesis to see if the word sex even appears.  As you can see in the right hand corner, it doesn't.

Ezekiel 16:48-50
"As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, your sister Sodom and her daughters never did what you and your daughters have done. "'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen."

Deuteronomy 29:22-26
"Your children who follow you in later generations and foreigners who come from distant lands will see the calamities that have fallen on the land and the diseases with which the LORD has afflicted it. The whole land will be a burning waste of salt and sulfur-- nothing planted, nothing sprouting, no vegetation growing on it. It will be like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in fierce anger.
All the nations will ask: "Why has the LORD done this to this land? Why this fierce, burning anger?" And the answer will be: "It is because this people abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, the covenant he made with them when he brought them out of Egypt. They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, gods he had not given them."

In conclusion, the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah is the lack of hospitality; not being gay.

For once, just read the Bible and THINK. I hate people who don't think.  I'm sick and tired of dealing with idiots who don't think.  Use the brain that GOD gave you.  Use it to the fullest.  All of you who disagree, you're wrong. W.R.O.N.G.

Just saw that Green Planet channel (286 on DirecTV) is showing a documentary on Sodom and Gomorrah, and the "raining of fire" that happened.  Scientists think an asteroid blew up above ground near what is known today as Austria.  After that, particles flew up, traveled many miles away, possibly North, and landed in the areas closest to and in Sodom, Gomorrah, and the other cities effected.  Lot's wife looked back, and turned into a pillar of salt.  Lot could have mistaken his  charred wife's corpse as a salt pillar near the Dead Sea.

"Biblical Mysteries Explained" is a very good series that I love watching.  I get a lot of information from here because they actually use scholars and archeologists instead of people off of the street.

The mother of one of the children killed in Chardon this week has forgiven TJ Lane, the teenager suspected of the school shooting.  If a parent can forgive the murderer of her child, I think you can forgive anyone.
