Sad Day for America

After NC's new law banning civil unions and domestic partnerships (gay marriage was already banned), I decided to search for what people are saying.  I promised I wouldn't get into politics here, but this is something I feel God is very upset about.....



....and this quote sums it all up.  It was posted on Mike Huckabee's Facebook Page.

God hates all sin, not just homosexuality. Ban marriages between all who sin.


I decided I'd just copy and paste some of the hateful things here, then post some of the positive things.


He is known to flip flop...lol...the man does not know what he wants...


So has Romney.  There's something else I don't understand.  The Republicans are criticizing Obama for changing his position (or flip flopping as I've seen it).  Is someone not allowed to change his or her position on something?  Dick Cheney did when he said he would support gay marriage a few years ago..... 


Mike, just because people support something and you dont like those people, doesnt mean you should fight against the rights of all humans! Democratic or republican, anyone should get married. I am unsubscribing from you, Mr. Huckabee.


Why do we call these people what they want to be called? Let us call them what they are: PERVERTS


To people who think being gay is an abomination, I would remind you that oppression is also an abomination (Ezekiel 18:6-13). The US law is to be separate from God's law. If gay marriage were legal, how would that hurt you? Someone else's sins do not affect your own personal salvation, so why enslave others to your religious beliefs?


Republicans want to legislate our morality, and Democrats want to spend money that we don't have. I think I'll just stay home on Election Day.




I like Huckabee.  I think he's a good guy (he's one heck of a bassist).  


If the Republicans think we should have less government, why are they passing laws that restrict the rights of others?  This doesn't make any sense at all.


Finally, if there are any fundamentalist Republican Christians who are reading this and think the King James Bible is the only Bible we should read, here is Matthew 7.

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Also, be careful to all of you who trim your hair around your temple and eat seafood......

Keep the US government secular.
